Book Review: "Believing Christ: The Parable of the Bicycle and Other Good News" by Stephen E. Robinson

Plot Summary:
With a teacher's talent for explaining powerful truths in understandable ways, Stephen E. Robinson teaches about topics often misunderstood by Christians. He addresses the distinction between personal perfection and perfection in Christ, earning salvation as opposed to qualifying for grace, and many others.

Reasons to Read:

  1. Not Perfect? If you struggle under the weight of your imperfections and sins despite your best efforts, you need to read this book. I will definitely be rereading this one!
  2. To Avoid a Common Christian Pitfall: He addresses, at length, the ideological trap of believing that Christ is the Savior and has all power to save all mankind - except for me... He helps us understand how we need to both believe in Christ, but also take Him at His word and believe what He promises.
